Adopt a Highway Project
Islam is not only a religion, but a way of life. Staying clean and keeping area
around you clean is part of Islamic way of life.
ICCAA has arranged adopt a highway program to practice one of the aspect
of this beautiful way of life. Objective is to clean area desiginated
to Muslim community of Anchorage, Alaska. This is a volunteer program, and
everybody is encouraged to participate.
Program Agenda
1) Meet up at ICCAA Masjid at 12:00 pm.
2) 15 minute safety briefing by Group Leader Brother Ahmed and watch safety
video at ICCAA Masjid.
3) 12:20 pm Leave together to adopt a highway location around Jewel Lake Rd.
(between W International Airport Rd and Jewel Lake Rd intersection and
Raspberry Rd and Jewel Lake Rd intersection). Location and Map provided
at end of this page.
4) Clean up activity around Jewl Lake Rd.
5) After clean up activity return to ICCAA Masjid.
* Volunteers are highly encouraged to bring gloves and drinking water.
